How much does a Rust server cost?

Our Rust servers start at €7.99 per month. Price depends on RAM and player count: a 10-player server for friends needs far less than a 150-player community server.

How much RAM does a Rust server need?

At least 8 GB for a small map and a few players. For 50 to 100 players on a standard map with plugins, plan for 12 to 16 GB or more. Usage grows as the wipe goes on.

Can I install plugins?

Yes, with Oxide (uMod) or Carbon: drop the framework at the server root from the panel file manager, then the plugins into oxide/plugins. Our guide on installing Oxide and Rust plugins covers every step.

When is the Rust force wipe?

On the first Thursday of every month, Facepunch pushes an update that forces a new map. Your server must be updated and the map reset: stop, one-click update, delete the map files, restart. Our Rust wipe guide explains it all.

Will my server show up in the server list?

Yes, in the Community tab, or Modded depending on your plugins. A clear name (region, rates, wipe schedule, group limit) helps players pick it.

Can I rent a Rust server for console?

Our servers are for Rust on PC (Steam). Rust Console Edition uses a separate server system.

Can I use a custom map?

Yes. Host your .map file and set its URL with the levelurl startup parameter.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time without reinstalling: your files, plugins and saves are kept.
